Giraffes yet again

Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog. It has been a while since I last posted due to my new job over at Nickelodeon. It has been truly amazing and I feel so blessed to work with such talented people. Here are a few giraffes I have drawn since the last posting. I have been taking some classes and studying animal anatomy. I believe these drawings to be stronger than the last. Hope you enjoy!

Ben, Sophia, and a giraffe

This image was inspired by a comment from my friend Ben about my last post. He said "Now, this is freaky. I just had a dream last night, where I was talking to a giraffe." This is an image that came to my mind of him and his daughter, Sophia with a giraffe. Hope you enjoy!

Giraffes

Here are a few sketches I did at the zoo the other day. I have been trying to get over there and draw as much as I can before my hiatus is over.

Zebra Heads

I went to the zoo the other day and found myself drawing the zebras. These are character studies I did a few days later.

Here is a new pinup I did just for fun. I am hoping to do a series of these, and will post a few as they come. This one was originally sketched in pencil, then scanned in, and colored using photoshop.

Kaliha

This is a drawing I did of my dog Kaliha a little while ago. Alot of the work I have been doing lately has been storyboards for shows in production. I'll try to get some newer sketches up as soon as possible.

Girls Drawing Girls 2010

I am part of an artist group called Girls Drawing Girls. We are coming out with a calendar for 2010, and this is the piece I did for it. I believe it will be available in time for the San Diego Comic Con.

Farmer Duh'

This is a quick little character sketch done from memory of a guy I saw standing on the side of the road today. He seemed a bit out of place.

 

Faces

Lately I have been doing quick sketches on post-its. I have found it to be one of my favorite forms of sketching. They seem to always be accessibly and easily disposable if you dislike your drawing. Plus, you can stick them on the wall! :) I'll try to post more of them up here as time goes by.

TV Appearance

Friday night, April 3, 2009, I was the guest on a TV show called "Wake Up! Explore your Passion" hosted by Ryan Ray. The show is about people who follow their passions and dreams in life.
